TAQA in Ann Arbor provides a complete scope of O&M services, beginning with the Pre-operating or Mobilization Period where all necessary preparations are made for commissioning and future operations. This is followed by the Initial Operating Period, which normally spans between 18 and 24 months, during which extra resources are provided until plant operations become relatively predictable. The Operating Period, which covers the term of an O&M Agreement, is where emphasis is placed on maintaining the performance of plant equipment through testing, preventive maintenance and scheduled overhauls.
Throughout all of the services TAQA in Ann Arbor provides (including staffing, training, procurement, daily operations, preventive and corrective maintenance), the focus is on controlling costs, optimizing fuel efficiency and generating full revenue under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

TAQA in Ann Arbor conducts all of its business under the control of a comprehensive Environmental Management System (EMS) with the goal of best-in-class environmental performance including consistency with the internationally-recognized ISO14000 standard for environmental management.  TAQA's EMS consists of five major elements:

• Policy Statement: articulates the environmental principles and intentions of TAQA
• Implementation Plan: description of how TAQA implements its Environmental Policy, including a more detailed description of the major elements of the EMS, and the organizational framework and resources (people, activities and documents) which support the EMS and Environmental Policy
• Corporate Standards and Regulatory Requirements: statement of specific performance expectations, describing what has to be done, who does it, and when it has to be done, as required by law, regulation, and/or Environmental Policy
• Plant Implementing Procedures: documentation of how a complex or critical plant-level activity is performed to ensure standards are consistently met
• Feedback and Improvement: internal assessment to deliver continual improvement of the EMS. This element also includes periodic management review of the EMS, and communication with external stakeholders.
